Baggage

  • Explosive, flammable or toxic substances are prohibited.
  • Perforating and sharp objects may only be carried in checked baggage.
  • Medications are allowed in the hand luggage, along with the medical prescription.
  • If the luggage is damaged or violated, contact the airline as soon as you notice the problem.

Carry-on Lugagge

The sum of height, width and length dimensions may not surpass 115 cm or weigh more than 5 kg. If that limit is surpassed, the airline may require you to check your carry-on luggage.

It is not recommended to place valuable goods in the baggage to be checked. If that is necessary, you must declare the value of goods at check-in, presenting the corresponding invoice. The company charges an extra fee and takes responsibility for the goods.

Checked baggage

The limit of weight for checked baggage varies according to the size of airplane and the ticket class. For domestic flights the average is 23 kg. The airline may charge up to 0.5% of the ticket fare for extra kilo and even refuse to transport or send it in another flight. Special baggage items, such as musical instruments or surf boards, are included in the baggage quota.

Traveling with liquids

  • The liquid content should be placed in a plastic, transparent and sealed container. Such container may not exceed the dimensions of 20 cm x 20 cm.
  • Any gel, toothpaste, cream, aerosol or similar item must be carried in vials of up to 100 mL and may not exceed the total capacity of 1 liter.

Prohibited items

The hand luggage and the checked baggage may not contain any of the following items:

  • Alarm devices.
  • Explosives, empty cartridges, ammunition, pyrotechnic material, hunting weapons, handguns and fireworks.
  • Gases such as butane, oxygen, propane and oxygen cylinders.
  • Flammable liquids.
  • Flammable solids and materials of easy ignition.
  • Spontaneous combustion substances.
  • Substances that emit flammable gases.
  • Oxidizing materials: lime powder, chemical bleaches and peroxides.
  • Toxic and infectious substances: arsenic, cyanides, insecticides and defoliants.
  • Radioactive materials.
  • Corrosive materials: mercury, acids, alkaloids and batteries.
  • Magnetic materials.
  • Biological agents such as viruses and bacteria.
